San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria created the High School Voter Registration Award to recognize high schools throughout the city of San Diego for their commitment to registering students to vote. This award is named after the California Secretary of State Shirley Weber, who is a former San Diego Assembly Member and a leader supporting youth and civic engagement.
There are 2 award levels.
Gold Award: Register 85% of the 2022 senior class that are eligible to register to vote
Silver Award: Register 50% of the 2022 senior class that are eligible to register to vote
Students must complete an Inspire2Voe Pledge card when they register to track for the award.
